Overview

Suzlon Energy — one of India’s leading renewable-energy companies — needed a dedicated “Newsroom” site to reflect its brand leadership, corporate transparency, and ongoing communication with stakeholders. Wide Lens was engaged to build a premium, information-rich portal that organizes Suzlon’s corporate content (press releases, news, media kits, reports, galleries, ESG/CSR info, products & services, leadership details, global presence, etc.) into a clean, easy-to-navigate structure. The goal: a site that presents corporate communications, ESG/CSR efforts, product and investor information — all under a unified, brand-aligned digital roof.

Objective

  • Provide a central hub for all corporate communications: press releases, media kits, news coverage, reports, galleries, etc.
  • Reflect Suzlon’s brand identity as a leading global renewable-energy provider — trustworthy, transparent, authoritative.
  • Organize a wide variety of content types (text, images, video, reports) so different audiences — media, investors, partners, public — can easily find relevant info.
  • Support investor relations, ESG / sustainability messaging, product / service information, corporate history and leadership — all in one cohesive site.
  • Deliver a user-friendly, performant, and scalable web platform that works on desktop and mobile, accessible globally given Suzlon’s international footprint.

Key Challenges

  • Large and diverse content volume: including press releases, media kits, investor reports, product/service pages, ESG/CSR, galleries, leadership bios, global presence, etc.
  • Need for a clear, intuitive navigation structure so users don’t get lost in the volume of information.
  • Brand-consistency: design and UX needed to reflect Suzlon’s identity as a renewable-energy leader — professional, clean, corporate yet approachable.
  • Performance and accessibility: site must load fast and reliably across devices, including for users in areas with limited connectivity.
  • Scalability — as new press releases, reports, and content come in, the site needed to be easy to update and maintain.

Our Approach

UX & Content

  • Designed a clean, hierarchical menu that groups content into clear categories, making it easy for journalists, investors, partners, and the public to quickly find what they need.
  • Created a “Newsroom” landing area featuring latest updates (quick reads, recent press) to highlight fresh content.
  • Structured content cards/sections for easy scanning: e.g. press releases, news items, reports, galleries.
  • Made room for rich media: images, videos, documents — supporting Suzlon’s diverse content types (photo galleries, video galleries, reports).
  • Integrated clear branding and corporate identity, ensuring that each section — from leadership bios to ESG to product info — aligns visually and tonally.

Design

  • Professional, clean layout suitable for a corporate/industrial brand. The site emphasizes readability, clarity, and simplicity given the breadth of content.
  • Balanced visual elements — text, images, icons — to avoid clutter while giving enough visual weight to important items (e.g. leadership team, CSR features, product pages).
  • Intuitive navigation: slide-out or dropdown menus that mirror the content hierarchy, making multidimensional content easier to browse.
  • Consistent styling (colors, typography, spacing) that matches Suzlon’s broader brand identity.

Development

  • Built a modular, scalable site structure (likely using a CMS or templating) to handle frequent updates (press releases, news, reports, media kits).
  • Performance optimizations (image/video/media handling) to ensure usability globally, including on mobile / slower connections.
  • SEO-friendly structure and semantic markup to support discoverability of corporate news, investor communications, and ESG content.
  • Responsive design — ensures usability across desktops, tablets, mobiles — important since various stakeholders (journalists, investors, global users) may access from different devices/geographies.
